Here are a few that I'm looking forward to watching. They have links to the IMDB listing and they are in no particular order!
I watched this years ago when I was in college in Utah. I remember loving it but really don't remember a lot of the story line. So, I absolutely want to see this again!
=========================================
Honestly, I don't know a lot about this one except that I was reading someones blog and they were commenting on being obsessed with this soundtrack and the fact that it's not a 'classic'. I still want to see it. It got 8 out of 10 stars on IMDB user reviews. So, it can't be that bad!
=========================================
I have never seen this movie. There. It's out. Please do not send hate mail! I'm trying to be honest here. I will be redeeming myself this summer.
=========================================
I saw this play at the Scera Shell Outdoor Theater in Provo when I was in college and loved it. I want to see how the movie version turned out.
=========================================
Never seen it. Always wanted to.
=========================================
Once again... never seen it... hear it's great.
=========================================
Never seen this one either! Come on, give me a break! I grew up in Oklahoma for heaven's sake! I didn't even see the musical 'Oklahoma' until I was 18 years old and I lived in Utah!! Which reminds me... next....
=========================================
I live there... why not?!
=========================================
This one is for Shelley. I really want to read the book but just don't have a couple of years to finish it! So... I'm going to watch the movie!!
=========================================
So that's a few to start us off! Most of them are musicals but I really want to hear about some great old movies!!

Well, Oklahoma is my all-time favorite. You should add Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's probably my 2nd favorite. I loved Grease as a kid and I still love the songs but I wouldn't let my kids watch it. It's a bit raunchy. Casablanca bored me to tears. I've never appreciated it. Arsenic and Old Lace is an old Cary Grant favorite, oh and Pillow Talk is a good one with Doris Day. Another good old musical with Doris Day is Calamity Jane. The kids might like that one, too.
What?! Shelley, no comment on Gone With the Wind?!!
Don't forget "The Sound of Music" it is a classic musical. "The Apple Dumpling Gang" is also a great classic movie,though it is not a musical.
I agree with Shelley on Grease, music is good, but doesn't have a great message for the kids. I don't really like old movies so I can't give you any recommendations. Sorry. Rox
The suggestions so far are great! Dottie (I think), NON-musical old movies are great! We watched The Apple Dumpling Gang last summer and it was great. The kids have been asking to see it again. We own Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Wizard of Oz, and National Velvet. We love all of these!
Steph, I have never watched Grease either! We should be in a club together I guess. I never realized that there was a stigma to _not_ watching Grease.

Cindi, crazy huh? Even today when I got a pedicure with my girlfriend (it was her bday) the girl doing my feet had to be 15 years younger than me and she nearly fell over when she heard me say that I had never seen Grease. Apparently, she has all the songs memorized!
Ok,some good Disney flicks that Dustin loves are as follows:Pete's Dragon,Mary Poppins,Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,Bedknobs and Broomsticks,The Fox and The Hound,most all of these are musical,I even like them,hope this helps :) can't wait to hear the new songs Asher will be singing.
Okay, I don't remember the story line completely, but what about MY GIRL. It's totally sad, but about a girl and boy best friend. Loved it! What about like the Muppets take Manhattan? Hmmm...I'll let you know when I think of something else.
Last summer our family really enjoyed movies directed by Hayao Miyazaki (i.e. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky, and Spirited Away.) We also really like the B rated 1950's and 1960's horror movies (i.e. The Blob, King Kong and Them!, The Thing From Another World, etc). Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is one of my favorites from growing up.
Movies?! Who's got time to watch movies?!@#! LOL ;) Well at least I don't, but the kids do so that would include Barbie and the 12 dancing Princesses, Just about any Disney flick, Spiderman (only Carter is interested and when we let hmmm-rarely) I could go on, but I think you get the idea, no time, kids choose.

Okay... I have to agree with Shelley; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (I have this and love it). Anything with Doris Day works for me. Your bunch would love Clamity Jane... My family watches alot of Disney Classics like The Love Bug; The Computer That Wore Tennis Shoes. Call me up we have a bunch...

Nope Steph that suggestion wasn't mine, but here ARE mine!
Patch Adams (true story but not so much for kids), Sound of Music and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Mary Poppins, Tammy movies, Debie Reynolds plays the lead (Tammy and the Bachelor, Tammy and the Doctor ect), any of the summer beach movies from the '50's and 60's, Parent Trap (both old and new versions), Babe, Pollyanna and the list goes on and on!!! Sorry....
I like Grease Steph. I mean, of course I would! LOL! Ok...I know all the songs too and my favorite memory is traveling once with my Mom and sisers and we blasted it and sang our hearts out to every song. You definitely need to see it. And...my Mom's husband is an extra in that movie. His claim to fame. ha ha!
Meet Me in St. Louis
The Wizard of Oz
The Goonies
Willow
An Affair to remember
Pollyanna
--Lolly
The Princess Bride
Legend of the Drunken Master
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Duck Soup
I can think of a bunch of other movies that I love but I have a feeling they wouldn't quite fit in this list. I know it was a stretch to include a Jackie Chan movie, too.
OK, Grant, I'll humor you and add your movies to my list but come on!!! Jackie Chan?!! Please! I didn't add Princess Bride because we own that one and have seen it like 3762 times!
Here are some more that PJ and I thought of.
The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again
The Million Dollar Duck
Hot Lead and Cold Feet
Son of Flubber
My Favorite Wife
Song of the South
I can't believe that no one suggested "Roman Holiday." Probably my favorite movie of all time. My second favorite is "Enchanted April."
You will love the Jimmy Stewart comedy "Harvey."
Steph,
How about "Old Yeller"
"Where the Red Fern Grows"
"My Fair Lady"
The first two are a little sad, but both are terrific movies.
